Camilla Fuentes, an 18-year-old recent graduate, was reported missing in Rowlett, Texas, just days before she was scheduled to leave for her freshman year at Villanova University.
She was last seen around 4:30 p.m. on August 13. Her family initially believed she had gone to work, but concern grew when she failed to return home. Her car was later discovered in a parking lot outside the restaurant where she works in nearby Garland.
Authorities say several of her personal belongings, including her phone, keys, Apple Watch, and AirPods, were left inside the vehicle. However, her laptop and iPad were missing, raising additional questions about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
Police have stated they are treating the case as a missing person investigation and have not publicly indicated signs of foul play, noting that Fuentes left behind a note. It was also reported that important personal documents, including her passport and identification records, were taken from her family’s home.
Despite this, her family has expressed concern that her disappearance is out of character. They described her as excited about starting college and pursuing a future in civil engineering, making her sudden absence especially alarming.
Loved ones are asking for the public’s help in locating her, believing there may be more to the situation. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Rowlett Police Department.
